One of the most powerful things in this planet is located in the most fragile of beings. Our emotions are one of the most powerful movers of man. It’s one of the reasons why we create, why we motivate, why we destroy. It’s half of our internal map, and once that map is impaired, then how we live our lives will also be drastically affected.

Emotional disorders was termed as ‘neurosis’ before the DSM 5 came out. And these types of disorders are primarily ruled by fear and anxiety, so people who suffer from these are hampered by either or both of these negative feelings. Anxiety generally occurs as a danger signal to the ego when repressed memories and desires threaten to break through from the conscious to the unconscious mind. And the behaviour of people who suffers from these is either the expression of the anxiety or the manifestation of the defense mechanism. It is also important to note that, even if the disorders can stand alone, they can also have a high tendency of co-morbidity (diseases happening at the same time), even with other types of disorders. In the DSM 5, there are a number of Emotional Disorders, but here are the 12 most common disorders.
